Hi,

I’d really like to be able to add a very specific piece of sidebar content to a particular post that will display only in the sidebar of a single page and no others.

Could you advise me on the best and most simple method for doing this?

Kind Regards

Hello GadgetViper,

You can specify a custom sidebar for each post. http://screencast.com/t/iGkDCP24GnIY
You can create your own sidebar and add widgets to it. Please check our documentation fore more details.

Hi Bogdan,

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I like the feature of being able to select a custom sidebar in the post options, however it would be even better if you could multiple sidebars and even better to be able to drop and grab them into order.

The reason I suggest this, is that if you want just one or two additional widgets items in your sidebar as well as the standard widgets such as the Social Counter and categories, in order to achieve this you have to make a complete new sidebar set that also include the social counter and any others you still want visible. Doing this requires you to re-populate all the settings for the social counter each time you drag it into a new custom sidebar.

If we were able to keep the newspaper defualt sidebar but also add additional custom sidebars below it, it would be a great feature, maybe it’s something you guys could consider on a future update?
