Pagespeed – F (29%) and YSlow – C (76%)
YSlow, is doing fine, however, you can increase it with some more optimization.
The major issue is pagespeed, and it is pointing out to images (Try manually optimizing the images through photoshop), browser caching (Look at this), and GZip compression (This will help you).

You should fully optimize your site before worrying about the optional speedbooster plugin. That does not fix the server side issues, or stuff you need to do with image compression, caching/time to live, gzip/deflate, etc.
Test one of your posts at GTMetrix.com to see the work you need to do for your page score, regardless of theme used.

The guide on how to make your website faster does a pretty good job of explaining the process. If you cannot follow along on all of the steps, unfortunately you will have to get someone to help you in this matter. We can only guide you in the right direction but you are the one that has to do the adjustments.
Please try to disable your plugins as well as speedbooster has a compatibility list built-in that makes it deactivate if your plugins are not compatible. You should definitely contact your hosting provider for the gzip compression.
Please follow every step of the tutorial closely and check your modification after every step to see if there is any improvement in pagespeed.
