I just updated my Newspaper theme to the most recent version. However, now that I did that, the tagDiv blocks along with my header no longer display correctly. You can see an example of what I mean here:

The jQuery file is always being loaded by core WordPress and not by the theme you use.
So, if you are using WordPress 5.6 (older version were using outdated jQuery), then it should load the latest version of jQuery file, which is fully compatible with Newspaper Version 10.3.9 and Version 10.3.9.1
So there is no need to add jQuery to your theme. And the guide you provided is from the year 2019.
If you want to load jQuery directly from Google servers and not from your server (from core WordPress), you can consider adding the following code to theme’s functions.php file.

Tip: You can not cache; add expiry headers to the resources loading from third-party servers. In many cases loading jQuery from Google’s end reduces waiting time and 1 HTTP request to your server.

I would like the logo link in WP Header newspaper theme to point to the root of the domain and not the root of the blog.
I couldn’t find any option in Newspaper to modify the link, is there any possibility to do it ?

Hi there,
I’m using Autoptimize to try and improve the speed performance of my site. But when I choose to ‘Optimise Javascript Code’, the Full Screen Header (on the menu as per the Fashion demo here) and background images (on other pages like this) no longer appear except when logged in as an administrator.
They do appear when I uncheck the ‘Optimise Javascript Code’. But this has a negative impact on page performance.
I assume it has something to do with the td-backstretch and tdHomepageFullItem elements, but my knowledge of JS isn’t great so I wouldn’t know where to start. Is there a solution whereby I can optimise my Javascript code with Autoptimize, but without preventing the full screen header and background images appearing?

Indeed is look that this problem is only on homepage, is possible to have set an individual header and not the global one.
Also make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict to have problems with tagdiv Composer, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins (theme plugins), also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If the problem still persists, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and include wp-admin, cPanel and the link of this thread. I will investigate the problem.

I have two questions:
1. I have added icons to the main header menu for Home and Contacts. I have used Font Awesome icons. But after some period they have disappeared. Now I can’t restore them.
2. Also I don’t know how to customize the Footer section. I mean I would like to customize the items such as Categories and Latest news shown in the footer and change them as I want.

If you created the mobile page and you don’t have installed Mobile Theme, then you can edit the mobile page with TagDiv Composer which you created and do this setting for header and footer also: https://www.screencast.com/t/goMb4J8nrr

Hi josp, for the moment only the social has the option to set nofollow, noopener or noreferrer,, on the rest of options is possible to be add in the coming updates. Right now this can be done only in theme files wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/header/tdb_header_logo.php -> https://i.imgur.com/kawiyQR.png

We have 2 different options to do this:
1. If you use a cloud template or a PRO theme, then you can easily edit the header logo with TagDiv Composer plugin like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/qsgcjwbII

hi i created the page for mobile but when i run the setting to hide header and mobile footer from theme panel section it doesn’t work. In practice, the footer is not hidden on the mobile and the logo in the header is not displayed. I repeat I have performed all the steps from the theme panel. How can I solve? thanks
And another current issue is that the mobile site has code on the home page (https://blondeintheair.com/), the website has a different theme look overall, and some pages don’t have content at all (https://blondeintheair.com/destinations/) which has the header, the title of the page, and the footer.

Well, not EVERY backup, just some, the last one that failed so miserably was in October.
An Automatic update should not lead to such things.
So far we figured out with your colleague, Simoin that the updated emptied the header, which I managed to bring back following his instructions.
What remains to be done is to bring back the sidebar at Posts. But if that is not feasible, I will restore.
I am also a bit bothered by the loss of traffic, which had obvious reasons when the front page was messed up. But even now, it is lower than it should be. But this might be due to seasonal traffic patterns.
All in all, let me know if your colleagues can bring back the sidebar for the posts, otehrwise I will restore the backup, and lose some days of work.
Hi, this is because the gadgets pro is using an overlay header and all the pages, post should have first set an image and over it will be set the header menu.
Another solution is to change the header menu or change it from overlay using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/QAXbOyT.png and set the header template 62 -> https://i.imgur.com/LOtVjms.png.

Hi,
I have a big problem with removing a URL from my source code. Already disabled all cache plugins, cleared cache and also did a find-and-replace via WP-CLI, however I just can’t find the location. I have also already run a full text search via the database, without success.
In my header area of the theme a URL from our test system is included which leads to an error. However, as I said, I can’t find the URL no matter where I search.
Where is this setting set or can it be changed?

For login you need to go in Theme Panel -> Header -> Sign In/Join => https://www.screencast.com/t/FEK7gqspZ , enable the theme header login
and for social also in Theme Panel -> Social Networks => https://www.screencast.com/t/6cwiXdSU, after you can add the URL for your social profile.
