Hello,
The code you posted removes the category description for category pages, not the menu sharing buttons. If you want to disable the mobile menu sharing opotions you can use this code:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td-menu-socials{
display:none;
}}
Thank you!
Hi I have a question.
I want to remove mobile menu sharing button.
So I tried this code in mobile custom css
@media(max-width:767px){
.td-category-description{
display:none!important;
}}
But It is not operated.
Thank you Simion,
it took me only a small change in the child theme!
1. added register_nav_menus in functions.php
2. changed ‘theme_location’ from ‘header-menu’ to ‘header-menu-mobile’ in /parts/menu-mobile.php
This is really one of the best themes,
Thank you!
Hello dalemccune,
Unfortunately, there is no easy option that allows you to change the menu position for mobile mode, sorry! This task involve to do some customizations and notice that we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry! If you want to change the default style of this section you should do it yourself or if you are not aware, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The mobile theme can be activated for all the website or not at all. In order to have a different main menu you have to activate the mobile theme. You cannot have only the alternative menu active. If this plugin is not active, the same content from desktop will be displayed on all devices including the menu, adapted for the smaller screen size.
This is where the menu that is used for mobile, without the mobile theme active is defined

Thanks
Thank you for that Link. I got the Icon changed to what I wanted.
So what are the steps to getting the mobile menu icon centered under the Logo?
Thank You
Nice, I didn’t know of the Mobile Theme plugin!
I just tried it: would it be hard for me to modify it in order to just let me use the mobile menu feature and not all the other features? Because I like how the Newspaper theme adapts to mobile, and I’d like to keep it like that… I just need a separate menu for the mobile
I’ll look into it, any hint will be appreciated!
Ps. Please note that I’m also using the free polylang plugin, so I’ll actually have 2 mobile menus (ita – eng).
Maybe the easiest thing would be just creating a new menu position for when Newspaper is loaded on a small screen?
Thank you!
Hi,
Now you just have to select that menu in Theme panel->Mobile Theme

You can find more information about the mobile theme here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
> If you are using the mobile theme you can create a menu and use it only for mobile devices
So you say that I can have menu_A for the desktop users and menu_B for the mobile users?
That would be a solution.. But I can’t really find how to do it… I just created the new menu.. now what?
Thank you!
Hello Sebastian Escobar,
Please keep in mind that you can do this only if you will use the mobile theme. In the panel you will have the option from where you can choose what type of menu you want to be displayed in your mobile mode, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Wmcs3dUlVv
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Natalia,
Here is talking about About Us section. If you want to remove it, you should use a bit of CSS code.
The code is ->
.td-mobile-footer-wrap .block-title{
display:none;
}
I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problems with your main menu on mobile devices. Provide some useful screenshots so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
Hello I am in need of some assistance, I have the mobile theme plugin installed which I greatly like but I need all of my custom post types to display on it as well.
I have added this line to the mobile theme’s functions but no luck:
//post query
function my_post_queries( $query ) {
// not an admin page and is the main query
if (!is_admin() && $query->is_main_query()){
// query the home page
if(is_home()){
$query->set(‘post_type’, array(‘post’, ‘yt’, ‘wft’, ‘radio’));
}
}
}
add_action( ‘pre_get_posts’, ‘my_post_queries’ );
//add to theme cpt
function namespace_add_custom_types( $query ) {
if( is_category() || is_tag() && empty( $query->query_vars[‘suppress_filters’] ) ) {
$query->set( ‘post_type’, array(
‘post’, ‘nav_menu_item’, ‘post’, ‘yt’, ‘wft’, ‘podcast’, ‘external’, ‘radio’
));
return $query;
}
}
add_filter( ‘pre_get_posts’, ‘namespace_add_custom_types’ );
//add custom post types to main blog
add_action( ‘pre_get_posts’, ‘add_my_post_types_to_query’ );
function add_my_post_types_to_query( $query ) {
if ( is_home() && $query->is_main_query() )
$query->set( ‘post_type’, array( ‘post’, ‘yt’, ‘wft’, ‘podcast’, ‘external’, ‘radio’ ) );
return $query;
}
I hope someone can help!
That worked perfectly, I have another issue on my mobile the content seem to be at left side and there is small gap at the right side https://www.screencast.com/t/U1yOVfsexr2
About the header I was asking was That I am using uber menu to create that navigation bar will newspaper default theme menu able to provide like ubermenu ?
Well, I was thinking if I duplicate the main menu and assign the new main menu to mobile…is this possible? Where can I assign a new custom menu as main menu to mobile?
I ask this because I think the solution would be to create a drop-down menu to my first item menu “Areas” with the subcategories in sub-items in drop-down.
In this way the user of mobile could access to subcategories in a clean way
I hope your help.
ok now is working but if we active the pluging contact form 7 dosnt work the menu in mobile
Hello! Thanks for perfect theme! I love it!
I have 2 questions:
1) When I see footer text, I see some text which I am not written. Please, see picture. I is like a bag. https://yadi.sk/i/olnLsA9_3H6qoR
2) I installed a menu in the mobile theme. But when I go to the mobile page with reviews, what I have created, it is empty (http://psiholog.help/otzivi/), and the main menu items are not clickable (there is no transition to these pages), although everything is good in the desktop version. What am I doing wrong? Can you check my site thought mobile?
Thanks for help!
Best regards, Natalia
Hi,
You can change the color for the menu, as well as for the footer in Theme panel->Mobile theme section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hQaJVZB6VUC
Content for the pages when using the mobile theme must be entered through the mobile editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MHHBfeJtMya
More information about the mobile theme here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The mobile theme is meant to be as light as possible for the best performance on mobile devices. The css file can be found here – https://www.screencast.com/t/GBH5AeUfso if you would like to modify this file directly. Please note that you could use the custom code section available for the mobile theme if you want

Thanks
Hi,
The Top header menu is not available on mobile. The header menu will be displayed in mobile form. However if you could provide a link to your website where there is a top menu present, I will try to give you a code to make it display on mobile. At the moment I do not see a top header menu present on your website – https://www.screencast.com/t/iBOM4LDkwc
Thanks
Hi,
The mega-menu feature is only available for desktop. On mobile the menu is limited to having a sub-menu. If you are using the mobile theme you can create a menu and use it only for mobile devices. Please correct me if I misunderstand.
Thanks
Hi,
You can try this code to hide the menu on mobile – https://www.screencast.com/t/bvyBdzLL5JnC
The code must be entered in Theme panel->Custom Css
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full {
display: none;
}}
Please provide more details about what other changes you would like to make to this menu, so I may give you a a more accurate answer. Right now I see that you are using Header style 8, and a stretch property on the header menu.
Thanks
If you are using mobile plugin you cant set top menu because top menu usually is for pages and pages dont work on newspaper mobile theme 🙂
Hi
I want to change some styles in mobile theme, like menu drop-down background and footer color, but also I need to show tags widget below. Where can I configurate this? and where can I find .css files?
Thanks!
Hello
I want to create an entry where I can show access to the subcategories of a category, that is, can show the titles and a image of subcategories.
The way Visual Composer have to work on blocks is to call the categories for to download all their posts, but not show an access to that category.
I have, for example, the top category “Areas” and several subcategories among which are “Astronomy”, “Biology”, Social Sciences “, etc.
When I click on” Areas” I want to go to a page where I can access to “Astronomy”,”Biology”,”Social Sciences”, etc., and NOT to all post of “Astronomy”, “Biology”, “Social Sciences”, etc.
I could do a independent access trough image (I think) but the behavior in mobil is not good.
This is because in my main menu I have two drop-down items, and one of them shows subcategories, but these are not visible in the mobil.
I have activated “Mobile theme” and I do not see the possibility of accessing to these subcategories from the cell phone.
I think creating a post with access to the subcategories would be solved.
Hi,
How can i show top menu and my main menu on my mobile theme please? there is no option on mobile settings only for main menu and i use my top menu as a shop/cart menu….
Thanks
