Hello!

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

Thank you!

Hello @trasno!

There is all about the DOM. Which means you need to have less elements into that container or row, as such on that page. I can suggest you only to take care of how many elements you use on that page. You can try to use a cache plugin or a plugin which can minify the page or combine some elements in order to reduce its size.
To increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

Please check the tutorials from those platforms gt metrix and Google Pagespeed Insights and I’m sure you can increase the page speed.
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/

Do you encounter any errors while importing the sections from the Cloud Library? I’ve tested, and for me, it comes out as it should with all the settings.

Thank you!

Hi Support Team,
This is my website https://stratheia.com/. I made its mobile view templates for the homepage, category, and posts. But I am unable to show it on mobile. The newspaper theme just shows the default theme. I wanted to ask if there is any way to show my customized mobile view instead of the default view.

Hello,
Sorry, but I can not understand exactly the problem, but I think that you are referring that the mobile version is different from desktop version and you’ll like to have a responsive version on mobile, right? If so, then all you need to do is to disable the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, or if you want to use it on amp, make sure is set like this – https://i.imgur.com/LJDdmIN.png
Thank you!

Hi,

You have the mobile theme plugin activated, please deactivate it.
When the mobile theme plugin is used, you need to set for pages the page content in the mobile editor using only the options from that editor – https://i.imgur.com/p8EqE1b.png. also, there is an option to disable the mobile theme from a page/post – https://i.imgur.com/d3kTBRf.png. This option appears in the Gutenberg editor. After you disable the mobile theme on the page, you can assign the mobile page.

Thank you!

Hi,

while working on a website where the Newspaper theme is implemented, we noticed an error when displaying links and post thumbnails.

By entering any main entry, e.g. https://motovoyager.net/newsy/brytyjska-fabryka-opon-marki-avon-tyres-po-112-latach-ostateczne-zakonczyla-produkcje/ in place of promoted entries, red links are visible instead of thumbnails.

The problem is visible on the mobile version and randomly on the desktop version.
I will be grateful for help

Hello,

Unfortunately, you can’t display the number of comments for the mobile theme.
You can only display the number of comments if you use a mobile responsive or mobile page.

Thank you!

Hello,

“I switched my homepage and added a few other pages. These new pages are visible on the desktop website but not on mobile phones.
How can I solve this problem?”

– usually this is happening when the tagDiv mobile theme plugin is enabled, please disable the plugin and the problem will be resolved.

“2. On the woocommerce shop, I installed the kid’s shop template; I would like to edit/change the red flowery header banner. How can I achieve this?” – for this you need to edit the cloud header using tagDiv Composer, select the row and in css tab you’ll see the background image that can be removed/changed – https://i.imgur.com/X04KS92.png

Thank you!

Ht, I have the issue that my mobile menu and my search icon are not clickable.

What I did so far:
1. I disabled all plugins (except tagdiv), same issue
2. I confirmed that the cloud template is set in theme panel header settings
3. I loaded a default header via Cloud Libary, same issue there.

Any idea what else I could check? This is the link to my site: Link

I used an old site to create this new one and there the header was originally set via the seperate mobile plugin (and classic plugin / old theme before cloud templates were released). Could this be the reason?

Thanks in Advance!

I recently purchased another newspaper theme but ran into a few major issues using it.

I switched my homepage and added a few other pages. These new pages are visible on the desktop, but when I rest the same pages on my mobile phone, they appear empty.

I have created mobile versions of these pages.

How can I solve this problem?

2. On the woocommerce shop, I installed the kid’s shop template; I would like to edit/change the red flowery header banner. How can I achieve this?

Thank you for your help.
Kind Regards.

Hello,
I would go with some recommendations. For starters, what I would suggest is to use only cloud templates to be able to disable the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin.
Then, making sure you have the latest version of the theme, try these options – https://i.imgur.com/UGzkI86.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/JW8nxAX.png and on cloud header you can disable the desktop version on mobile and mobile version on desktop (this can be done for sticky menu too) using tagDiv Composer – https://i.imgur.com/kZYGhB7.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Gu4JUkT.png using this option will need to have in cache the option to cache the mobile version separate from the desktop.
I hope this will help you!

Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
No, you do not need a plugin to redirect to the homepage; this will automatically change, but please make sure that you have a cache plugin with the support alos mobile versions.

Thank you!

This can be disregarded – I just uninstalled the Mobile Theme and AMP plugins. All looks as I would like it to, now. Thanks.

Hi. I just purchased this theme and am in the middle of customizing it for my client. When I am in the edit screen in WordPress and I click the mobile view in the “General” Tab, I see exactly what I want to see on mobile which is basically the desktop version shrunk down for mobile. THEN when I view on my cell phone, it looks COMPLETELY different. How do I fix this to look like what I’m seeing in the editor in WordPress for mobile? This is urgent as I am trying to launch by tomorrow afternoon. Thank you in advance!!

Hi I use wp optimise and the mobile option is active. I’ve used this for years and never had this issue. What’s also strange is the homepage is the only page that does this. All other posts/pages appear correct (mobile theme), but the homepage is pulling the td composer homepage (I’ve checked page settings as well).

And I cant get rid of the AMP! When I set Mobile theme it still shows my amp! This is quite the pickle

I truly appreciate your time, I’ve been optimizing my workflow for the last week, so this issue kinda took a backseat as my frustration grew I was scared that my computer might get thrown out my window haha. But I tried both of those and its a “no go” Loads without pictures. I have quic.cloud & litespeed cache working and im still lagging behind in speed. Average 44-60. Im pretty capable over here, I just wish I could optimize this better. Not sure what to do next, I guess I will try the mobile theme option but I sure wish I could design a mobile page as I had it. It was just too slow. What is the usual mode of operation when running a mobile news site? Just be slow? I have even reduced my homepage to just one set of articles displaying, taken off the most my assets, and optimized all my photos. Very disheartening, but the show must go on. Please advise me if possible. Id love to get my score up. My hosting plan should be enough to get me into the 80’s and low nineties, I just cant seem to produce the result. Very sad days lol

Hi,

For mobile please edit with tagDiv Composer, select the viewport on phone, select the header logo and change it => https://i.imgur.com/cR7F0v4.png https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/ Please delete the logo from theme panel.
