Thank you! I had scoured the menus but never would have thought I needed to scroll down in order to see and delete it from the backend. So, I was able to find it and deleting the bookmark element worked, but now the menu doesn’t look right on mobile. The hamburger icon is slightly smaller and off the right side of the screen slightly instead of the menu just returning to its normal, pre-scroll appearance. Since sticky vs non-sticky doesn’t even appear to be an option in this section (I’m editing the header template under the cloud templates section), I’m not sure how to simply get the sticky mobile menu to look exactly like the regular mobile menu now. Ideas?

Hi,
I think using the abbreviation GPSE was not a good idea, what I meant was Graph Positional / Structural Encoder (hook/filter to work with the interface we have).
Now, screenhost is to help reduce the number of live search results in our theme, in case they are still used. Unfortunately for the mobile live search, there is no option to set the number of elements that will be displayed. Sorry!

Hi,
It appears to be the mobile theme on desktop. Did you install the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin? If so, please disable teh plugin, clear all cache, and teh responsive version will be used on mobile.

Hello, thank you for your reply! Regarding the screenshot you provided — we are already using the approach shown, but we don’t see a direct GPSE redirect option there. Could you clarify what exactly you meant by “redirecting to GPSE directly” in that screenshot?

Also, the element we use on mobile is the Mobile Live Search element (not the Header Live Search), and it doesn’t include the same options you referenced (img1). Is there an equivalent option available for the Mobile Live Search element as well? Thank you!

Hi,
This situation is usually related to the JS code that should be executed to display the mobile menu, so this should be added as an exception from teh cache.
I see that you have a standard header, so there is a smaller problem, because the code on the standard pack has a single JS file, which is not on the elements as the cloud templates. The file that should be excluded is tagdiv_theme.min.js also another file that can be excluded is the theme file for js tagdiv-theme.js and minify version tagdiv-theme.min.js

Hi,
The provided link is not working, our email do not have access to it (contact@tagdiv.com)
Usually, this situation appears when you are using the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin. Now if you want to have the responsive version for your mobile users, then please disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin.

Hi,
I checked the provided screenshots, and it appears that the Bookmark icon from Sticky Mobile is not removed. For this use, tagDiv Composer on your homepage to edit it, select an element, then select teh mobile viewport and scroll down till the middle of the sticky sidebar is not displayed, scroll up and it will be displayed, then you can select the element you want to remove. https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/
Thank you!

I’m having a problem with the mobile version because none of the pages are showing up, even though they’re linked in the menu and set to display on mobile. They look like this:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kAzDawH1nEsH7YneNGLvRSel-FO8v4ga/view?usp=drive_link

Hello, we have recently integrated Google Programmable Search Engine (GPSE) as our site search, replacing the native WordPress search. To make this work with the theme’s search elements, we implemented a small JavaScript function ( fixSearchForms() ) which you can see in the page source (greekreporter.com). The script handles:

  • Redirecting all search form submissions ( classes tdb-search-form and td-search-form ) to our GPSE results page.
  • Rewriting the ” View all results “ link in the mobile live search dropdown to point to the GPSE results page with the correct query parameter (?q= instead of ?s=).

This covers both the desktop Header Live Search element and the Mobile Live search element. We have two questions:

  1. Is this the recommended approach for integrating an external search engine with the theme’s search elements, or is there a more native/supported method we may have missed – either through tagDiv Composer settings or theme options – that would handle the form redirects and button links without requiring a custom script?
  2. Is there an official hook, filter or supported method to replace the live search AJAX results (currently using WordPress native search) with results from an external search API like GPSE, while keeping the existing live search UI and dropdown intact?

If option (2) is not currently supported, are there any theme-native alternatives you would recommend for live search functionality?

Additionally, is there a way to limit or restrict the native live search results to improve response speed? When a query returns many results the delay is significant, and since only the first 3-4 results are displayed in the dropdown, could we somehow cap the number of results the query returns to reduce that latency? We consider this a viable alternative if replacing the live search with GPSE results is not easily achievable, especially since the ” View all results “ link already redirects to the GPSE results page as mentioned above. Thank you!

Best regards,

Well, I think I have turned off all instances of the bookmark feature, but I still can’t get the icon to stop showing up in the mobile menu? Any ideas how to fully disable the bookmark icon once and for all? https://levaire.com/bookmark-off.jpg vs https://levaire.com/bookmark-on.jpg .

Hello tagDiv Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing regarding a long-standing issue I have been experiencing with the Newspaper theme. This problem has been happening for approximately 7 years. I always hoped that future updates would eventually fix it, but unfortunately, it still persists.

The issue occurs when I use Cloudflare with the “Cache Everything” rule enabled (caching full HTML). This configuration has significantly improved my website performance and loading speed, which is extremely important for my project.

However, the problem is specifically with the mobile menu.

Randomly, when visiting the site on mobile and tapping the menu icon (hamburger icon) to open the side menu, the menu becomes completely unresponsive and does not open. The icon appears, but tapping it does nothing.

This issue:

Only happens on mobile devices.

Happens randomly — sometimes the menu works perfectly, other times it becomes blocked.

When it fails, it stays blocked until cache is cleared or refreshed.

Seems related to Cloudflare caching full HTML content.

Because it is random, you may sometimes see it working and sometimes not.

Please test this URL on a mobile device:

https://www.bibliatodo.com/TestimoniosCristianos/de-indigente-a-predicador-testimonio-impactante/

I have also recorded a video demonstrating the issue and will provide the video URL below.

After many years trying to investigate and solve this on my own without success, I was even considering changing the theme. However, I realized I never formally contacted you about this issue.

So I am reaching out with the hope that you can guide me toward a proper solution or best practice configuration when using Cloudflare Cache Everything together with Newspaper theme.

Could you please advise:

Is there any known compatibility issue between Newspaper and full HTML caching?

Is there a recommended Cloudflare configuration for this theme?

Are there specific scripts, cookies, or paths that should be excluded from caching?

Is there a known fix for the mobile menu becoming unresponsive under aggressive caching?

I truly appreciate your support and guidance.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards.

Hi,
You can edit pages with tagDiv Composer, and you can adjust them per viewport – nw related to the rest of the template, those are adjusted automatically – https://prnt.sc/NffzTKwlcLj8https://prnt.sc/hagGObPWlfsw
The responsive version will be used on mobile if the mobile theme plugin is disabled or in case this is set to be used only for amp – https://prnt.sc/WdYszFb0W7A9

Hi,
Using the mobile theme and amo will display for users a simplify verion. When are used together as in your screenshot, the same simplified layout will be displayed on both mobile and amp. If you want to have the responsive version on mobile, then use the mobile theme only for the AMP (select the last option from your screenshot), then the simplified version of the mobile theme will be used for AMP and the responsive version for mobile.

Now to stop the parameters from appearing anywhere, there are 2 options: stop using amp or edit the file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/header-amp.php (most users have given up on amps these days, as they are no longer needed as they were in the past)

Thank you!

Hi Alex,
I see so in the end the problem is related to the Rocket option that remoe teh unused CSS. Without this option is possible that the pagespeed to get lower with a few points
You can contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and we’ll do our best to help you.
What I can recommend is to use those exclusions for Remove Unused CSS:
(.*)#td-mobile-nav(.*)
(.*).td-mobile-container(.*)
.td-mobile-close
.td-mobile-content(.*)
(.*).td-menu-background(.*)
(.*).td-search-background(.*)
(.*).td-search-wrap-mob(.*)
.td-search-close
.td-ajax-search-flex(.*)
(.*).td_module_flex_1(.*)
Another thing that can be used with that option is the plugin WP Rocket | Exclude Inline Styles from Remove Unused CSS plugin.
I hope this will help you!

Calin, I’d like to revisit this discussion. When I deactivate the mobile theme plugin, my entire site loses its configuration. Is there a solution so that I can access all my tagDiv Composer content on the mobile version? Previously, I could access our complete content, and I believe that with some update, our site became limited to news-only content on mobile – forgetting all the other content displayed on the main page. Could you help me? Thank you.

Another issue we’ve noticed is that by 2026 our entire website will no longer be able to switch from mobile to mobile mode. The option to switch to mobile mode exists in the footer of articles, but it doesn’t work – drastically reducing access to all our content since the mobile version is simplified. How can I resolve this? I’ve already tried all the options in the plugin and mobile theme, but our site still remains in the simplified version. I await a response and assistance regarding this matter.

So, I added the other two js. When I clear the cache for a minute, everything works fine, but then everything crashes and the menu is no longer clickable. I’ve never had this problem with either wp-rocket or Newspaper. What’s going on? This problem is causing significant damage to the magazine because the categories aren’t being seen by mobile visitors.

Calin, good morning. Thank you for your reply. I’m using the theme plugin and AMP. If I do the opposite, it works – disabling AMP and leaving the theme plugin enabled – since my mobile ad settings are active via the theme. I await your response.

Hi thalesbrandao,
Is the mobile theme plugin used with AMP? And is this set only for AMP?
If so, the solution will be to disable the mobile theme plugin and use the Amp plugin alone. The code containing those parameters is part of the mobile theme plugin and is applied when the mobile theme plugin is enabled with the amp plugin.

I want to use the responsive desktop version on mobile devices. Kindly guide.

Hi,
It appears that your website is displaying the tagDiv Mobile Theme version on desktop. This is usually related to the cache plugin the option for separate mobile cache was not enabled.
Could you please confirm if you actually want to use the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, or if you would prefer to use the responsive desktop version on mobile devices?
If you prefer the responsive version, you can simply disable the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin and then clear all caches (including your caching plugin and browser cache).

Hi thalesbrandao,
The parameters:
{{post_cat_link}}
{{post_url}}
{{td_query_all_results}}
Exists only in one file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/header-amp.php and thsi is used only when you are using the amp plugin with the mobile theme plugins and one of the options – https://prnt.sc/Ii6EfD58TpTu but those parameters have the rel tag for nofollow therfore should not be indexed in GSC https://prnt.sc/6wyyY9Yrwk4p
Thank you for your understaing!
