It would be awesome to be able to sort news as 1 day most readed option. When newspapper X is used into a high visitor environment, sort by 7 days most popular makes not the real trending news get onto the list. Is there any possibility to do that? Doesnt matter if its needed to modify any core class.

Thats Sad because to a daily newspaper the news are that, daily so its important to have a shorten day count. Do you know, or anybody knows if there are any way to do this even with external methods or tweaks?
