So multiple websites would require multiple theme licenses.

This is not correct. WordPress multisite is calculated as one site because you are using only one domain.

You can use one license on multi-site but please note that Newspaper theme is not multi-site compatible, we have seen users who use the theme on multi site but they faced all kind of issues.
I think @yunusmitan was talking about using 1 licence on multiple websites which is forbidden by envato policy.

If it is not possible to use one license on multi-site, I will buy multiple licences but could you please point me to a documentation page that will teach me how to copy my website structure from a website to another? (In my case I have a domain for travel advices and each sub-domain represent a different country)
In that case I want the same website structure on each website without wasting time at re-building everything from scratch.

Unfortunately for Multi-sites we have not tested the Newspaper Theme and from what we know users using the Newspaper on multi-sites face all sort of issues.

– https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
– https://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular
Any obeying of this rules can lead to a ban from Envato Market.
