20+/- Images created by the theme in every 1 post image

Hi,

My sites was recently temporary disabled because it exceeds the number of files in my hosting site. I have PRO HOSTING package in JUST HOSTS. It turn outs that i have 500k plus files combine.

After thorough digging, i manage to identify the cause of the increase of file counts.

NewsPaper Theme creates 20+/- files from original 1 image file.

Anybody has a way to minimize the files created by 1 image post?

You can select what thumbnail the theme creates from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/e92f51xp1y7Z
Simply disable the thumbs that you do not use in your website.

Hi,

Thanks… i saw this. However, i dont know which SIZE should i be removing. Guess i have to study what is module 1 or block grid.

If i disable some of it, would it delete the files that have been created?

Hello,

The options from the theme panel specifies exactly on which module and block it is used.
The option from the theme panel simply tells the theme where to use and where not to use images. It does not delete them from the folders. Luckily there is a plugin that does that. It is called ‘Force Regenerate’ and you can use it after you set the options in the theme panel to regenerate your thumbs and it will also delete the images that are not used.
