3 active licenses for WPEngine possible (DEV + STG+ LIVE)?

I hope all is well. I’m playing around the newspaper theme for a bit and I must say I really liked it!

One question though, in the forum posts I saw some posts saying that we can use the license on 2 websites: development and live copies.

However, since I am using WPEngine, I have 3 environments:

1. Live website: http://www.mysite.com (mysite.wpengine.com) – This is the live website indexed by Google etc.

2. Staging Website: mysiteSTG.wpengine.com – This does not have a public custom domain attached to it, and is not indexed by Google etc. I use it for small changes before pushing them to the live http://www.mysite.com website.

3. Development Website: mysiteDEV.wpengine.com – This also does not have a public domain attached to it, and is not index by Google. I use it to try big changes / make heavy edits to test the Newspaper theme before deciding to incorporate these in the live website. These are the changes that I cannot risk playing around on the Live and Staging(STG) websites.

I really need to use the 3 websites with a licensed version of the Newspaper plugin, so I was wondering if it is possible to use it like this (on 3 URLS under the *.wpengine.com domain) with one purchase of the newspaper plugin.

I have another issue related with this though, can you please help?

I bought the theme 5 days ago and been testing it on 2 (dev + STG) non-public domains, and I didn’t know about the 30-days unassign rule.

So I bought a new public domain and realized that I cannot unassign & assign to the new domain. I sent an email to contact@tagdiv yesterday but this is kind of urgent. (so I’ll use the theme in 2 copies but one of them is assigned incorrectly.)

Can you please help me with that? (I provided all the details & licence no etc in the email, so maybe you can find it using my tagdiv support username/email).

Hi Bettina,

Do you mean that if I reset the key from all instances and delete the theme, even the unassignable (due to the 30 days rule) copies will become assignable again (so it will bypass the 30 days rule?)

It is very frustrating to deal with customer support on email as they did not understand my question or they just ignored a simple request. The situation is simple:

I am not trying to use the theme on multiple domains or projects. I just need to use it on two domains as you allow. 1 is a development website and the other is the live website.

I just bought the theme 5 days ago.

I need you guys to enable the activation on 2 domains (one is live and one is development website) and I wrote the names of the 2 domains I need to activate license in my email to support.

Calin from support just says “no you cannot use the theme on many websites, you have to wait 30 days to unassign a domain.”

I tried the theme on 4 domains before settling on a final domain name in the last 4 days. I have overrode the other two sites that I will not use the theme, so I cannot access them anymore, they are not live, they don’t exist anymore. , so I cannot deactivate or unassign them. You can deactivate the remaining sites on your end.

I just need you guys to enable the theme on 2 domains (1 development and 1 live), and I cannot wait 30 days for this. Can you please ask Calin from support to fix this, this is a very easy issue.

I need to make the website live asap. This is really frustrating.
