301 REDIRECTS NOT WORKING IN THE MEGA MENU

Every time I create a “page” I create an identical “category” to mirror, said page.
I am doing this for SEO/Silo structure purposes.
(ex. I create a page named “Books”, I then create a category named “Books”. I then run a 301 redirect, so The Category Slug: <mywebsite.com/category/books> redirects to <mywebsite.com/books> (I’m dropping the /category/)
I have troubleshoot the 301 redirect plugin, it is doing its job.
The problem that I am having is, when I create a Mega Menu from a “category id”, it is not redirecting to the page. It goes to the slug with the “/category/” directory. I have tried to create a Mega Menu from the “page id” but it is buggy and looks nothing like the category id mega menu.
Is there a way to use the “Category id” and have it redirect to the identical 301 redirect “page”.
In short is there an easy work around to create the Mega Menu with Pages and not Categories?
Every time that I try to do so, (there are a couple ways to do this) the menu looks nothing like it does when simply choosing to create the mega menu from category id (which is pretty much effortless, the only problem is the category slug).
Settings maybe (permalink)? I’ve been spending to much time trying to find a workaround, I have also spent a lot of time redirecting and creating “Pages” that coincide with the proper “Category”, so? I need to find the simplest solution.
I hope this did not come across as confusing.
Thanks.

Why not enter manually the final resolving urls in the menu? Wp allows to to put in any url, such as external sites, etc.

Not sure what you mean by that exactly. I’m not creating the Mega Menu from the “Max Mega Menu (plugin) settings, rather the menu settings. i.e.

Menu Structure

“Drag each item into the order you prefer. Click the arrow on the right of the item to reveal additional configuration options”.

Make this a category mega menu (this is where you pick the category with coinciding id)
OR

Load a page in the menu (enter the page ID)

There is no place found to enter a page URL. When I enter the page id., the Menu is not in the correct format. Not the same layout as the category menu.
Where are the settings for the URL that you are referencing?
It sounds to me as if you are in the plugin settings in which case I would have to create the menu manually and add widgets with whatever features that I desire? Please elaborate.
