check your permalink settings, as theme doesn’t control that

if you get 404 errors, might be encoding issue with language; normally tags should not contain any tildes or similar, just plain letters and numbers
I realised that I get the 404 error, when I try to change the prefix “tag” in permalink settings. Do you still think it is an encoding issue?

I have changed the tags prefix on my end but i cannot recreate this. Please try to disable all plugins except the page builder and clear all caching. Also try to re-save permalinks or try another permalink structure.
If you still encounter issue please provide a link to your site so we can inspect it.

We usually change our /tags/ to /topics/ here, and have had zero issues, unless the ‘tag’ itself has some garbled thing in it.
Also note the ‘blank’ trick does not always work, nor the ‘put a period in there’ trick. If you don’t want to use ‘tags’ often best to simply change it to something else (e.g., ‘topics’).
