Hi,
in the backend the setting for the 7 day sorting mentions issues with caching (I understand this). It says “When caching is enabled the sorting will be an estimation of the popularity in the last 7 days.”
How is the estimation working? I see strange results and I’d like to understand how that estimation works…

Hi,
When you have caching enabled the 7 days counter isn’t updating until the cache expires and the post is accessed again so while caching it the 7 days sorting counter isn’t updating if the post is accessed, that’s why its called “an estimation of popularity from the last 7 days”.
The 7 days post sorting hasn’t been designed to work when using cache so if you want accurate results you need to remove the cache. Sorry!
