728 x 90px ads in Articles

Hi!
I’ve read some topics, but still haven’t found a solution…
I’m using 728 x 90px ads in posts (changed it to 686 x 90px) and adding it with plugin Quick Adsense.
But as many people wrote it doesn’t change dimensions when resolution changes even on laptop.
When resolution gets higher i get free space on the right.

And of course it doesn’t fit on tablets and mobiles.
How can i fix it?

Hi,

The theme ad system works with adsense, it takes the ad code and generates a different ad size for each device (desktop/tablet/phone). The default sizes are defined here – http://screencast.com/t/2OPPLqE5aQJ – you can also modify them from Theme Panel -> Ads.

If you use a plugin to manage the ads the ad sizes should be managed by the plugin or the ad should be responsive by default.

Thank you, Emil G.

Emil, the thing is i can’t use the theme ad system for these adsense blocks, because i put it manually every time to different places in content of posts.
I just saw a lot of sites using this 728*90 block (one of them even uses the same plugin as i do) and everywhere this block looks fine.
This plugin doesn’t manage sizes it just makes a shortcode.

is there any other way to make it look normal?

Hi,

The same way you use the plugin’s shortcodes to place the ad into posts’s content you can use theme’s ad spots shortcodes and place them in your posts’s content. So add your adsense code in one of the custom ad spots in theme panel ads section, customize your ad to use a 728×90 dimensions then use that ad spot shortcode and place it in post’s content: http://screencast.com/t/IMY84ut7http://screencast.com/t/2XxSnk2bdhttp://screencast.com/t/8veDT9YMjZz
You can find each spot shortcode by adding the adbox VC element then switch to the classic view: http://screencast.com/t/LNIfxm6FB1u9http://screencast.com/t/3r1JL0AQcb

Thanks
