8.5 widths!

In 8.5 we can now stretch row and content to predetermined widths.

If I make content to say 1200, ho do I enlarge the header content accordingly so that the logo is aligned with the content below?

Great question! I was thinking the same thing about the footer content.

Where can I enlarge width of the content column? I only see settings for header, menu, footer etc, but not content column and/or sidebar.

In TD composer, under the row options, you can choose to stretch row and content.

Oh, I don’t use TDComposer at all, so it’s a shame that the width can’t be determined in global theme options.

Indeed! I think that’s a big downside of this otherwise good theme. I just switched to TD Composer and still evaluating whether it is a good move.

With this major 8.5 update you can enlarge the content but as I am asking above, it is not clear how to enlarge the rest accordingly. Let us wait for a reply.

thanks for the reply. I am re-reading my question but can’t find where I could have given you the impression I wanted to enlarge the post content. My question was “If I make content to say 1200 (on a page), how do I enlarge the header content accordingly…?” (read a 1200 px wide header).
In fact, enlarging the page you might want to have the logo and menu in the header to be aligned with the page content. So, is there a smooth way to enlarge the header? Otherwise, the enlarging functionality seems to me pretty pointless.

(Surely once you enlarge the header, then the posts, in turn, will be not aligned, unless one can specify two different header widths for posts and pages respectively).
