Hello,
Your themes offers a good schema, but there’s a structural data missing, for example the descriptive text in the article (the description) and the body.
Here is a very good example of the site 20minutes.fr, i propose to do a test, with analyzing this link:
http://www.20minutes.fr/economie/1870437-20160621-jeux-video-chinois-tencent-rachete-finlandais-supercell
with Google tool: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#
And for a news website, the pattern of the article must normally be subtype “News Articles” (for your customers using your theme for websites that do not address current topics, you can offer them the type schema “article” this can be applied using child theme).
Thank you
Hello tomawebdev,
We used the Article-schema.org because our theme has been designed to be used not only for News area and what the Article schema is more general, that’s why our developers have decided to use this. We will do some investigation and reviews in this regard and depending on results of these we will consider on the future updates to change the Article to News Article for schema.org but we cannot say for sure when will it be this because it is just our developer decision.
Thanks for your suggestion and for your understanding!
Hello Catalin,
You didn’t answer me about the « description » and « body » in the schema, it is very important for the SEO, please consult this example:
(the “body” and the “description” in the schema “article” or “newsarticle” make it easy for GoogleBot or others search engines to explore and index your posts, which provides a good ranking)
Thank you

Hello tomawebdev,
As I have explained you above, our theme has been designed to use the Article in schema.org and the description, headline and article body item prop are not included in it. If you want to control these, please notice that you will have to manually add these item props in each post template used by you. For example, if you are using the post template style 1, you will have to edit the loop-single-1.php and add the certain markup, like this ->
http://screencast.com/t/zliHgwMc4 and then you will have to add the headline item prop in td_module_single_base.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/AphioRiAIfVu and then if you will test your post with Google Structured Data Tool you will have all of these markups.
Please keep in mind that all of these modifications involves custom work and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Please notice that I have added your suggestion to our list of improvements and we will try to consider in next future updates.
Thanks for your understanding!
