I wanted to know if this can be done with the help of Newspaper theme.
So, have a lot of blogs that we publish each month. Now some of them are special blogs or let’s say they are better performing in terms of traffic.
Now we want that when some new user comes to this blog.
He is on the blog page. And initially, the first two paras are visible of the blog. And there’s a button which says “Read More”. And when the user clicks on the button, a form opens (maybe in a popup) which asks for fields such as Email, Name, etc. and when the user fills in the details correctly (i.e. validated), then the full blog show up. Kind of what is being done on Medium.com. All the other blogs are open. Only some of them are “locked” and the user has to fill in an email ID and then the full blog shows up.
How can this be done!?

Unfortunately it is not possible with the basic functions from NewsPaper or WordPress. But as i’ve searched a bit you can achieve this with a plugin. We haven’t tested any plugin so we cannot recommend but as long as you make a backup you can feel free to test plugins. This one looks promising but you will have to test it:

I’ve made some quick tests with this plugin and it’s pretty simple to work with but i can see it has a bug with the smart sidebar, so if you don’t want the smart sidebar i think this will be great.
