Please notice that a child theme is a theme that inherits the functionality and styling of another theme, called the parent theme. Child themes are the recommended way of modifying an existing theme. How do you create the child theme? I saw there was a child theme in the code folder in the full download. But it wasn’t a zip file. So I zipped it and installed it. But not in Appearance/Themes the Child Theme image show Newspaper 7 not 8.

The Child Theme come bundled with the theme core files -> https://www.screencast.com/t/fRma399qX and if you want to use it you should switch to it from Appearance.
