Hi,
For a nice experience, I wouldn’t like those clicking on the link in the newsletter to have to unlock the content to access the article if they are not logged in.
Is there a way to have this rule in the locker -> Access if logged or Access if user comes from newsletter link?
Thank you.
Best,
lamiaa
Hello Anamaria,
Yes you’re right, I didn’t explain well. It’s different from Email locker.
Imagine I lock a content. For example I lock this article: https://www.captainforest.com/ten-zero-waste-supply-chain-strategies-for-businesses/
So to access it you need to be logged in.
Now imagine, you’re someone who subscribed already to my newsletter. So in August 2024 newsletter, I insert the link to this article in the newsletter.
You receive the newsletter and then you click on the link to the locked article.
You arrive on the page and it asks you to subscribe to access the content.
1/ it doesn’t ask you log in to access it
2/ if you received the email it means you already subscribed
3/ ppl might forget their loggin details .. so they will just skip
The question is : how to manage content locked for newsletter subscribers?
Hello,
The subscription option is different from the newsletter. Unfortunately, if you add them to the newsletter and they are blocked, then they will need to add their email address. If they use the same browser, it will not be necessary anymore, as these are saved in cookies.
Unfortunately, for this situation, I don’t know how to give you a solution or a workaround.
Thank you!
