Activating theme problem

I have just purchased newspaper and tried to install it on a fresh wordpress site. The zip upload didnt work as it said the file was too large.

I then followed the instructions on this site and uploaded the unzipped file to wp-content: themes.

This showed the theme on the dashbord but when i activate it the page goes blank. I can reload the dashborad but to click on any of the plugins, pages, themes, post etc buttons results in a blank page again. Can anyone help?

Yes, you upload the single file for the theme, not the whole files zip as that includes docs and psd files, etc.

You need to install Visual Composer from the /plugins/ folder into your /wp-content/plugins/ folder

You need to activate (turn on) the VC plugin first, before the theme will work.

Ok the problem was with the hosting company, they increased the file size limit and everything it now fine.
