Ad Banner not working.
I want to add my own ad banner in the Ads section, but still the newspaper sample ad banner is showing

You can use the AD BOX element. The ad box has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png save it and will appear on the post (you can set a shortcode like a shortcode from adrotate plugin or other plugins).

possible to change the ads banner global? Within the theme panel, ads section? Or do I have to change it site by site?

I am looking for a global change (in the theme panel > ads). Now I just changed as you mentioned.
