Hello,

There seems to be an issue with the ad titles for the header ad and the sidebar ad. The ad titles are not showing.

Here’s a image of what’s going on: https://postimg.org/image/4j496r093/

Update: I resolved the issue with the sidebar title but the header ad seems to be having an issue with padding.

Please help,

Thanks!

I’ve resolved the issue. There appears to be some bad css in the stylesheet.

To resolve the issue, add the following code to the custom css area of the theme panel:

.td-header-rec-wrap .td-adspot-title {
margin-bottom: 5px;
position: relative;
top: 5px;
}

Hello,

The user specified he solved the issue, that is why we did not intervene. The sidebar ad title can be set from the widgets area like so: http://screencast.com/t/hUsaZxiNMZ
Please provide a link to your site so we can inspect the issue if you still have trouble with it.

Thank you!

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
My website is http://proskarzysko.pl/ but I don’t have any commercial banners at the moment. I will have some soon, that is why I did some tests.

But the problem was solved. It was AdBlock! 🙂
This is probably there is a word “adspot” in the code regarding ad title. Actually, that issue would probably affect all ad spots in Newspaper, not just sidebar.
AdBlock tends to clear everything regarding commercials, ads etc. Probably, by searching keywords regarding them.

Interesting is, apart form titles issue, AdBlock seems to block all ad banners in Newspaper, except header and sidebar. At least in my case. The reason may be similar as above – some words in the code.

Rgds.

Hello,

Adblock will hide any ads it can detect. Our ad spots have the word ad in them so any widget that has AD in them will be removed by adblock. The thing is you cannot control what adblock blocks as it gets improved and harder to ‘fool’. Simply do not use it if you want to see the ads.

Thank you!

Hi,

I may not use AdBlock but 40% of people in Poland do 🙂

One way to fool ad blockers is not to use any ad related words in the code (or file names).
Do you think you can change that in the future?

Rgds.

Hello pawwel,

Please notice that we will propose this thing our developers but we cannot say for sure if this will be implemented in next updates or not. Will be their decision.

Thanks.
