add action in Child theme for Mobile theme?

Hi
How to use a hook in child theme with mobile theme activated?
I want to exclude some categories in mobile theme “Latest Article” post list (home page).
Any way to achieve this? In child theme functions.php?

Hi

I knew we can edit mobile latest articles on theme panel.
But we need to modify the query condition.
Like skip some categories.
Since the panel do not provide these function.
We will need to implement by ourselves.

But I found the mobile theme do not read child theme’s function.
Anyway to do this?
