I use a program called floatbox to trigger a lightbox and I need to add this code to the header

I’ve done it in other themes, but not sure where it would go in Newspaper? Can you help please?
If I cannot, then can you suggest a lightbox plugin that does not conflict with your code please?

Unfortunately, I do not know about your code implementation above because we do not have any tests in this regard. I guess, that you want to put the code in the header section of theme, right?
