Add Google tag manager code

I installed a plugin to Add Google tag manager code. But the plugin is asking me to add a small piece of code to the “template” file. I don’t know how to do this? Can you please help?

Select how your container code should be included in your website.
If you select ‘Custom’ you need to edit your template file and add the following line just after the opening <body> tag:
<?php if ( function_exists( 'gtm4wp_the_gtm_tag' ) ) { gtm4wp_the_gtm_tag(); } ?>

Hello bluerooms,

Unfortunately, this type of plugin has not been tested with our theme and we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with the theme, sorry! Being untsted plugin, notice that we have no idea about the behavior of this plugin and also we cannot provide support for implementing untested plugins, sorry!
