How do I add “Load More” button to category page.
I want to replace the “1,2,3..” style pagination at the end of category page to be replaced by ‘load more’ button

Also how do I turn off the big grid appearing in the category archive pages?

Hi,
“Load More” button works only on blocks. Sorry for inconvenience!
You can disable Big Grid from Theme Panel like this: http://screencast.com/t/eRoD22suckf
