I need to add a small text line right before each blog post –more or less where the date shows up.
Is there any way I can do this? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You could use the post subtitle field, this will appear like this

The subtitle will only show in the post page, so you could use it for the posts you want

Other than this, there would be no other spot to use in that location in which you can add text.
