Adding a privacy policy link and checkbox to Sign In / Join / Create an Account

Hi

What is the easiest way to customise the “Create an Account” page, to add a checkbox and a link?

With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into force soon, I would like to add a link to my privacy policy on the “Create an Account” page, along with a checkbox to get the user’s consent.

I’ve added a plugin called “The GDPR Framework” to my site, which has added such checkboxes and links in many areas.

However, I’m guessing the “Create an Account” page is a special feature of the NewsMag theme, so the plugin does not know to add a checkbox to get the user’s consent regarding privacy.

Hello alanathome,

All of the necessary GDPR implementation required will be implemented in the next update. For the moment we are waiting on WordPress to update and provide the necessary tools for the new law requirements. Sorry but notice that our theme does not have any option to Create an Account, sorry! You should try finding such a plugin with this functionality and check the results.

Hello alanathome,

Please keep in mind that we are working hard on this project but we cannot say for sure we can not say an accurate date for this releasing. As I said you above, everything is depending on WordPress and what implementations they will do.
