Is there a fairly simple way to add a second navigation area to a header? This would be something like this – https://www.espn.com/nfl/. I’m referring to the nav area with “Home Schedule Draft” and so on.
I’m probably overlooking something simple – is this doable?

Perhaps a better question: Would there be a means to replace the categories listed here – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_city_pro/category/tech/ – with custom links? So replace Business, Food, Lifestyle, etc. with specified values?

You can set those as buttons or redirections. This can be done from Appearance – Menus and it is standard wordpress: https://www.screencast.com/t/Z2pR2Sol As you can see there are multiple options.
