Adding BuddyPress

Hi

I want to add BuddyPress to my site,
Theme forest says NewsPaper is compatible with 1.9 However BuddyPress site offers download of version 2.0.2…

Will 2.0.2 work for me?

Otherwise, where can I get an “approved” 1.9?

and most importantly – would you recommend it?

Who is the person in charge of the listing the theme as compatible with BuddyPress 1.9 that can shed some light on the matter?

Likely best to review the support info on the Buddypress website as their goal is to make it compatible with all themes and take the burden of theme developers out of the mix, at least that is what they are saying on their site 🙂

So, technically all themes are compatible with Buddypress – and that compatibility is managed by Buddypress folk. As long as the site works with WP 3.9 and is not a horrible mess, it should work just fine.

However worth noting this theme is primarily setup for a “newspaper” site and not a social network portal (hence the name); two totally different things.

Best bet .. try it! 🙂
