Adding Child Theme and How to update theme without loosing customization

Hi

I want to know how can I use a child theme in Newspaper and update the theme regularly without loosing anything. Every time I update the theme I loose the social share number. See the screenshot https://nimb.ws/RcOz76

Hi,

Usually this is happen when you change the url for articles
Please check our documentation for:

After theme update please check the theme plugins to be updated and activate in specially tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library if you are using elements from cloud -> https://www.screencast.com/t/aNq9x55w

If you make an update to the theme all settings from theme panel will remain, only the changes from theme files will be override, so first you’ll need to make a full backup to your website ( the files that are change in child theme will not be override ).
If you are using child theme please deactivate it until you make the update.
