Adding Favicon For Mobile Theme

The favicon should be *theoretically* set universally. However, I’m looking at Hostgator’s logo (my hosting provider) when I check the favicon for mobile via Google Chrome browser.

How do I set the favicon for the mobile then?

Hi,

I see that the favicon is this – https://www.screencast.com/t/fdy7PCoR but it is not displayed while on mobile, or even when looking at the page source – https://www.screencast.com/t/fyv82A5y
Try clearing any caching installed, and purge the CDN files, to refresh the data.

I refreshed the cache (CDN – KeyCDN Zone Purge and server – Hostgator’s Cache Control). But, nothing seems to work.

There’s no caching plugin for WordPress (incase if you are wondering).

Hi,

There should be one universal favicon for the website. You could try to manually locate the one that is currently displaying and remove it. Try looking in the root of your domain

That seems to be the solution for other users of the same hosting

Then use the option from the theme panel to upload your favicon, or just upload a new one instead in the same location.
