When I add it to the footer.php file, it doesn’t work. I used to add it to the main file, however I cannot find the </footer> tag.
Anyone know where I should add a script that should be just above the HTML footer tag?

Generally in the footer.php file. Just make sure you clear cache so it’s actually there. Do a view source on your post page to see if the javascript is actually there.
