Adding new post or editing old posts gives 404 error

I use the Newspaper theme 11.2 and since updating to WordPress 5.8.1 I cannot create NEW POST since it gives me 404 error, and the same error comes up when I try to edit some old posts.

Anybody please knows what could be the reason ?

I must add that I disabled all plugins, but adding new posts/ editing old posts still doesnt work.

When I activate for a while default Twenty One theme it still doesnt work.

Hi,
Once that the problem is still persisting, then the problem is not from the theme.
Please try the steps from this guide https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-posts-returning-404-error/ maybe this will help you!
Also another thing that you can try it is to install the classic editor https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/ maybe this will help you!
