Adding page background site-wide, not using theme panel

HI, Marius
trying to figure out the div class to add a custom css element.

Basically, I want to keep the “wide screen” header and footer, but then put a background behind everything, basically a top-down gradient, and can’t find the right way to do that. Managed to add it to the div for the content but applying to any of the div classes for the body, or just for the body, won’t work.

Put another way, need to add a background to pages NOT using boxed layout.

Gave it the college try for 15 minutes looking at source code, but can’t sort which style class I need to assign the background image custom css to.

Hope that made sense.

Also, on this site in your menu top of pages, btw, the word “Suport” in English should likely change to “Support” for the nit picky.

hi,
you cannot target all background if you are not in box template, because the theme is made from 3 sections, see here: http://screencast.com/t/kinWT9k1

you can use this css to target each section individually :


body  {
  background-color:blue !important;
}

div.td-header-bg {
 background-color:#00ff00 !important;
}

div.container.td-logo-rec-wrap {
   background-color:#ffffff !important;
}

div.td-menu-background.affix-top {
 background-color:red !important;
}

div.container.td-menu-wrap {
  background-color:#ffffff !important;
}

can you point me (a print screen will be great) where the that “Suport” word is?

Aha! Great. I see you did it that way for those who like to runs ads in background. I was able to figure out the “middle” section but not the other 2.

That was super helpful., and will try it out this coming week… thanks!! 🙂
