I am able to add a slider to the top of pages but I can’t seem to work out how to put one just above or in place of my footer on my homepage? Is this possible?

Hi,
You can simply add it as the last element on the page, after you placed all the other elements

The footer can only be disabled for all the website in the theme panel. You could hide the footer with Css and the slider will be the last in the page.

If you can provide a link to your website after you place the Revolution slider, I will give you a code to hide the footer on the homepage if you consider this a solution.
