Adjusting existing pages

Hello,
Before we bought Newspaper we had existing pages. I’m going to use the about page as an example here.

First, when I choose to edit the page from admin with TD Composer I see a notice that says “The current content hasn’t been created with TagDiv Composer.” This I know of course. I guess I don’t get why that matters.

I want to move the actual text content farther down from the header but nothing I try seem to work.

How do I move it?
I have several other pages that are also like this such as our woo commerce shopping pages.

So I think what you are saying is I have to remake the pages, in this case our about page. Ok, so I have been trying that.
I go to Pages from admin and click Add new and then click TAGDIV COMPOSER to create my new about page. So far so good? Correct?
If that is correct I can’t seem to add a Column text element to anywhere except for the header which I don’t want. I like the header.
How do I get an area to enter my actual text below the header?

To further clarify. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I do the above.

I am unable to add any element between header and footer.

Well that did not help the situation at all.
I did as you suggested and I still don’t have the EMPTY COLUMN area as shown in your link.
This seems like a pretty basic thing that should be there.
We are on version 10.1 of Newspaper.
This is getting a bit ridiculous. I can’t even add a new page using tagDiv Composer.
