Can I type a post as admin and publish it instead of the author? This is to avoid that different authors could make a mess in the graphics. Then for each post by different authors but typed by me (admin) I would like each and author box with photo and details for each author. Is that possible?
Hello peopleabroad,
If you want to post an article without author, notice that you can turn off this meta information from Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/zpgms2Vso4wd and from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/iWWmeDqpIl3
Also, if you have more than one author, notice that you can manage them and add an image for each of them from the panel.
Thanks for your understanding!
Also useful to read the WordPress docs on how to create posts.
When you create a new post while logged in as admin, you can choose from any existing ‘author/user’ you have created, from a drop down on the post edit page when making a new post.
So, if you login as ‘superadminguy’ and then you want to create a post as “Joe Smith” you simply ‘select’ that author from the author drop down box on the post edit page — this is built into WordPress and not theme related.
Then when post is published, the author meta you’ve created for that ‘user’ is shown at bottom of the post as the author, not the superadmin.
If that was not what you meant – sorry to butt in 😉
Hi Chris,
That was exactly what I meant. what I want to ask you is whether even if it is wordpress and not theme related this will look exactly like in the theme. Is that so?
Thanks a lot!
