Adsense ads not appearing

I’m setting up a new design of my existing website with the newsmag theme. I’m doing this in a separate dev environment that is IP restricted to just my IP.

I’m trying to add AdSense scripts into the advert options within the theme panel with very hit and miss results.

Sometimes the ads will appear, sometimes only one or two will appear, and sometimes none will appear. No matter what I do my in-line ad within my articles has never appeared with this theme.

Could someone help me get this working? I can’t see any reason for them not to load unless it has something to do with the IP restriction, but even then I would expect the ads not to work at all if that was the case. The sub-domain that the development site is hosted on has been added into my AdSense accounts list of websites so that’s not the issue either.

Also thought I’d mention that I’m using display ads.

Update: My ads no longer seem to be displaying at all on any page.

I tested the ad code in HTML widget with one of the built-in themes and it didn’t work either. This code is copied directly from adsense, so I can’t see why it wouldn’t be working.

If you’re able to send me your IP address, I can whitelist it and would you be able to take a look at the site for any glaring issues?

Also, although ads have appeared on desktop site occasionally, they have not once shown on the mobile version which uses the newsmag mobile plugin. Is this the same or a different issue?

I have just lifted the IP restriction instead. URL is dev.ipodhacks142.com
