Adsense ads stretching in Safari

Hi there,

I’m having this issue of Ads being weirdly stretched all the width of the page, only on Safari browser.

You can see an example here:

http://cobras.org/king-cobra-31-facts/

Just scroll down to the paragraphs that say:
The Menu of King Cobra
and
Is King Cobra The Best Parent of All Snakes?

Any fix code for this?

Thanks!

Hi,

I have checked your site and did not found any issues with ads. Do you have this issue on mobile devices? Please provide more details about the device that you used and also the version of the theme. Also note that adsense are not responsive on the fly, you have to refresh the window in order to get the right size ads for current screen width.
If you refer to Safari version for Windows, it was abandoned in 2012 and does not support the latest web tech.

Thanks!

Hi Alin,

Thanks for the quick reply.

The problem is occurring on a Mac Desktop, only on Safari.
I didn’t encounter the issue on mobile.

You can see the stretched ad here:

I’m using Newspaper version 444.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry for delay!

I have checked your page on Mac and using the code directly in a text block it will take the full width of the ad, there is a inline css for your ad and the theme doesn’t control that. Like you can see the ad is displayed sometimes at 700pxhttp://screencast.com/t/HOT8bmNhp this depends how google send you the ad.
A solution to control width is paste your adsense code in a custom ad from Theme Panel and use shortcodes to display it:
*take the shortcode from a page – http://screencast.com/t/IsYHmhGphttp://screencast.com/t/JtnTkMYw9TR
*use this shortcode in text block – http://screencast.com/t/a5UwshoL
*you can control the size from Theme Panel if it need – http://screencast.com/t/ElxojmQJkVt

Thanks!
