How can I place an AdSense ‘Link unit’ in my website?
I AdSense ‘Ad blocks’ can be placed through theme panel.
What about ‘Link units’?

Hello tt5,
The theme ad system was designed to work with adsense code and custom image+link banner ads, other codes may not be displayed. Also, you can use Visual Composer to place your Ads in your website if you are using Text Block, like this: http://screencast.com/t/cGZ2h8dVy .
You could try to use a plugin and see if it works and paste the shortcode in theme ad spots, many users use AdRotate plugin.
