Adsense Warning For "Encouraging Ad Clicks"

I got a warning from Google telling me that my website was driving excessive attiontion to ads. I dont feel this is true from looking at the site, but im wondering if this is a known issue and if there is something i can do to fix it.

Here is the message i got from google.

Publishers are not permitted to cause users to click on Google ads unintentionally or drive excessive attention to ad units. This includes implementations, such as:

Placing Google ads in floating box scripts
Flashy animations that draw a user attention to the ads
Arrows or other symbols pointing to the ads
Site layouts which push content below the fold

Here is a sample page, it looks fine to me with ads being kept within the areas defined by the theme. http://nerdburglars.net/super-meat-boy-shows-us-how-trophies-should-be-done/

Hello,

Here is the official position of google on this matter: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/48182?hl=en
Unfortunately it is not our call to determine if websites that use our theme break the adsense rules or not.
The only known problem we had with adsense is debatable and is regarding the smart sidebar: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/smart-bar-against-adsense-tos/
Our theme was built to work with adsense and it respects the adsense TOS.
So, unfortunately we have no answer to provide you with. The best thing you can do is contact adsense so they can provide more details to the problem and maybe a solution.

Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. I am using a sticky sidebar so this could be whats going on. After getting in touch with adsense i can confirm some other violations.

1) Sticky menu is not allowed. If any contents of the main menu cover an ad it’s against policy. In my case there was a drop down menu AND the menu was sticky which was a double violation.

2) Content before the fold. I was using style 11 for all of my posts. This style results in an ad before the fold, but 0 content. Which in googles eyes means you are sending visitors to a page with nothing but ad content. This style cannot be used with adsense.

Hello,

Google has a lot of restrictions regarding their ads and the only reasonable thing you can do is follow their suggestions. The sticky menu can be disabled and the post template changed. We will look into this matter with the style 11 and come up with a solution in the near future. Up to this point we had no warnings or problems with any post style or the sticky menu. Our theme has lots of options and luckily there are easy solutions to these types of situations.

Thank you for your message.

I will give ye guys credit, this theme is so easy to work with. It would take me hours to fix this if i had to jump into code. Took 5 mins to fix everything. Personally i like style 11 the most and im bummed It was a concern. I will respond to the warning now that everything is fixed and see if i can trigger a response from them. I will report back here if there is anything additional that i get back from them.

Thank you for the help.
