Advertising Banner above Logo and Menu

Hi

I am trying to add a Billboard Banner above my logo and menu in Newspaper, i have tried several different options as per Newspaper settings but nothing has worked.

I have tried creating my own template, which works ok and i am allowed to place ad spots where i need them. However, i then cant use the default header that comes with Newspaper. You can see my current set up here https://socanews.com

Please let me know if possible

You need to have set header style 10 , go in wp-content\themes\Newspaper\parts\header\header-style-10.php

Quick question, how would I make the top part of my page where the banner sits a different colour?

You can use the option from Newspaper>theme panel>Theme color> Header
