Advertisement format

Hi,

On mobile devices, the header ad is automatically 300×250 while in the theme settings I specify that it should be 320×50. See the screenshot here: https://ibb.co/0FpnYvW

This is quite annoying because 300×250 is so huge on a mobile. See the screenshot here: https://ibb.co/4TP4t9m Adding an Adsense with the fixed size 320×50 is not an option because on laptop / pc the size of the header must be ad 728×90 and on other devices another size. That is why I chose responsive ads.

Hopefully you can help me.

Never mind, I have already been able to solve it in Adsense itself.

Any chance you could share how you resolved the issue using Adsense?

I created an Adsense display ad, specifically sized to 320×100.

I wrapped the add code in a DIV container <div id=”ad-slot” style=”max-width: 320; max-height: 100px;”></div>

I placed the ad code in the TagDiv Newspaper theme panel > Header Ad.

On Desktop, it displays as expected as a 320×100 ad. When I resize the browser to its smallest setting, it remains as 320×100.

However, when I view on mobile, it resizes it to 300×250.

The option to get this arranged is in Adsense itself and is called ‘Let Google optimize the size of your mobile ads’. If you turn this off, you will simply get the formats you specified in Theme panel.

The option can be found in Adsense under Ads > General settings
