We are selling adverting space directly to interested parties and these are ad features we need – is this possible with your theme by default or do we need a plugin?
1. Statistics out of the box?
WP Editor should be able to see and export (even if it’s only screenshot) basic statistics for a certain ad.
2. ad spots (for example sidebar) need to rotate ads on page refresh.
We find this is a basic advertising requirement (and can see this in your documentation?) – not only one ad on one spot, but a pool of ads and they get chosen randomly (or sequentially)

Unfortunately the Newspaper theme does not have this kind of option. Neither having a tracking system for ads or having interswitchable ads for the same ad spot.

Is there a plugin you’d recommend? … we tried a few plugins but every single one has a conflict with tagDiv Speed Booster plugin (and if this one is not working then the site has issues with menu CSS)

Unfortunately request like this are rare and we have not tested any plugins in this matter. You will have to try them and see wich one works the best with Newspaper theme and fits your needs.

do you have any information if your theme will some day support more advertising features? …
I see a lot of question on similar topics in your forum for some more advanced advertising features or at least compatibility with other advertising plugins.
And I must say I’m a bit shocked that one of the things I would consider basic for any publisher is not implemented and supported by your theme – we are porting our 10 years old CMS from typo3 to WP using your theme (which by the way does looks awesome) to find less functionality in it.
