I’m about ready to throw in the towel with newsmag, when they switched the width of newspaper I went to another theme, I thought newsmag was a good solution. Way to many issues at this point.

1.6 works fine around here … 1.7 does have some issues, which I extensively tested on our server today, and rolled back to 1.6, and it’s working great for us.

3 sites no issues … running 1.6

1 site crashing and all kinds of oddities … running 1.7

So, if you went to 1.7 … GO BACK ! 🙂

Hi,

The pagespeed and loading time of my site is very slow with V 1.7! My Bounce Rate increased more than 9%!!

When you’re planning to fix it? I supose that you’re going to release a V 1.8 right?

I don’t want go back to the V 1.6. I made a lot of changes and test of plugins for upgrade to V 1.7. Don’t want to do the same for the downgrade.

Regards,

Engels H.

Hi,

@engels012

If you want to remove the lazy loading effect of images you can follow the steps provided by Emil in this tread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-disabled-lazy-load/#post-42445

We’re currently working on fixing all the issues we had with the 1.7 version, we’ll also add an option for the lazy load feature so it can be disabled from theme panel. As soon as we have it ready and we test it rigorously we’ll have it released.
We’re sorry for all the trouble and the inconvenience caused, we will do our best to make sure that this will not happen again!

Thanks for understanding!

Hey Emil, yeah this was my issue. I do run cloudflare as well so I am assuming a cache purge will fix it. I think I’m going to wait a bit until the next version comes out though actually if you think any fixes will be out soon (like including option for lazy loader in the theme panel.)

I’ve done a HUGE amount of work and changes in order to get my loading speed to under 700 ms on my site so I want to holdoff as long as possible before I have to update again.

Haha,

Thanks a bunch for the reply-
Jacob

Hi,

Yes, we’ll add a on/off option for the lazy load on the next update and we’re going to fix the other issues.

Thank you, Emil G.
