Hello,
I had this error last year and I don’t recall what you did to fix it. I updated the social plugin via FTP after it stopped updating for Facebook. When I reinstalled and used the tutorial for FB (App ID, Key, etc…) I got the error message below.
I left the social counter on my home page alone and the problem only occurs on pages/posts. It was the same way last year when it happened. Identical error.

A plugin like WPFront User Role Editor: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpfront-user-role-editor/ can cause this, if you use it try without it, and if this is not your case please remove this code: http://screencast.com/t/tBCvgr5M87h empty all caches an test this again.

Removing the code and clearing the cache solved the problem. I will save these instructions for if it happens again.
