Ajax filter display

I am currently using the newsmag theme and have noticed that the ajax filter only shows by dropdown. For another website I am using the newspaper theme which has the horizontal viewmode for the ajax filter: Can this also be applied to the newsmag theme?

That implementation is specific for Newspaper theme and to achieve the same result on Newsmag are required some customizations. You can try to adapt the function which generate the pull-down filter from Newsamg as it is for Newspaper: http://screencast.com/t/CWudlLuYrCVd
Note that this is a complex task which require many customizations and good coding skills. if you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.
