First of all I want to thank all developers who were involved by creating Newspaper8!
They did overall a very good job. The theme looks good, loads fast and is feature rich.
Unfortunately Ive seen a lot of users like me, who are creating topics in this support site, to get a better registration form. The included Ajax login system is unsafe, unstable and it has a lot of features not build in. Im still waiting for a concrete solution and not just telling everybody use a new registration plugin. It is very hard to create a nice looking registration form, which is integrated that seamlessly like the default one.
Since yesterday Im getting hundreds of Emails, that UserXY with a “@webstviza.com” email-domain has changed his password. There is no option to add a blacklist for that domain. I know that this is not a huge deal, because I can certainly get a plugin for that issue. But nonetheless it is very unprofessional and awkward to let users register without creating their own password and let them wait to get an email, so they can change it. Ive never seen a serious website, which handles the user registration that way.
Please listen to me and add those features urgently:
– Blacklist support for excluded email-provider
– Captcha support for more security
– Set password directly in the registration form
– Individually customizable “welcome for registration” page
– Profile support (changing avatar and base information)
Honestly, check out the current registration path:

Hello fenomeno0chris,
Please notice that are the valid elements for our theme and if you want to make some improvements regarding on Captcha, Password, Blacklist and some adjustments for a landing page, notice that you should do it yourself because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry! Another alternative for you, in this case, would be trying to use such a plugin which have these functionalities and check how it will work for you.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Seriously?
Im still waiting for a concrete solution and not just telling everybody use a new registration plugin. It is very hard to create a nice looking registration form, which is integrated that seamlessly like the default one.
You’re theme is one of the most selling WordPress themes out there and you can not provide your customers a great solution for basics like the registration process?
-.-
Hello fenomeno0chris,
Sorry for this inconvenient but please notice that are the actual setting of the theme, sorry! If you want to have more settings with your theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
So can you give me at least some advice, which plugin should I use to add those missing features? There are tons out there and I really don’t know, which one supports your theme best.
Hello fenomeno0chris,
Please notice that we cannot make any recommendation in this case because we have not tested any plugins in this case, sorry! Also, please notice that we cannot provide support for untested plugins. Because we do not have such plugins tested, we cannot make any recommendation and also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
I think this is bad support. The Support answer is very customer unfriendly. I bought many of your theme and these answers shock me.
You should consider at least saying that you guys will add it to the will-do list.
This REGISTER/LOGIN feature is very important to many users and clients and i think there should be another way to answer. don’t forget that people pay for support too . and support make clent loyal clients and buy more.
why you don’t consider at least adding ads-on for your theme
for example :
better login form or registration / subscribe form
people will buy it
many topics around here have the same answer template :
Give me a break
Features not included with the advertised theme can be added by anyone, if you want to add them. That’s why there is a demo before you buy to see WHAT it can do, not what it “might do someday.” No theme does everything for everyone. For folks who want custom logins, you should use a plugin (any plugin is generally agnostic with any theme; you don’t need to wait for recommendation — go do what others do trial/error what works for YOUR USE CASE .. your site is yours, and only YOU can make such choices).
A $50 theme doesn’t include $500 of free coding and doing the hard stuff for you. You have to do that yourself — in customizing your site beyond what a theme can do. The default login for WordPress is the default WordPress login — you can change that with custom functions if you want to (google it).
There isn’t really a need for a ton of “add ons” for theme — that’s what plugins are for. For example why add ecommerce to theme when there are three giant ecommerce solutions. Why add membership plugin to theme when there are many highly rated?
Helps to have realistic expectations.
Give ME a break.
People don’t want to add tons of plugins since it slow down the site.
People chose the theme because it was optimized and have a ajax login form.
People did test the theme and bought it because of great support at beginning and promises to add features to the to-do-list .
People are asking for help or recommendation are clients and clients are the core of each company.
People don’t ask for any thing for free , so they are offering to pay for any customization (or your 500$ coding as you putted it).
Don’t rush rush ,hold your horses. tagdiv company grew from the 50$ your underestimating. 50 and 50 and 50 makes a ton. its not like only one person is asking for this features. There are many clients here that asked the same questions and got the same answer. saying there is a way to address issues other than using a template answer.
i just want to know if you are from tagdiv offical support team.
Pay Peanuts Get Monkeys you say . ha!
Most professionals in this biz with clients know they can make their own plugins, and also adding specific plugins for specific task are best way to do it — good luck trying to do what WooCommerce does, for example, without doing that. I do not work for TagDiv.
I’m a long time webdev, and have been using TD themes here for more than 3 years. 22 years building sites; 12 using WordPress.
So, I don’t work here, but this is a forum, so I can feed peanuts to the dirty apes, as much as anybody. This is not a support ticket system.
In any case, I was merely pointing out, that being polite and asking for help is better vs demanding it, then being insulting helps nobody — and you’re less likely to get help from the thousands of people who use this product and have for a long long time, and have gotten support and help above and beyond from the team.
It’s really up to you to ‘hack’ your site to do additional things; nobody is obligated to pre-test plugins for you, hence the answer given.
Not accepting an answer then insulting the person giving you the answer, isn’t helpful to those who make the theme and provide support — or for others on here who are helping out from experience and expertise.
Basically — you have the ajax login as provided in the demo — if you want to hack that to add additional features, you may want to re-read the answers provided, and then politely ask others for suggestions vs insulting the support person. Simple mods can be done, and they have provided many suggestions for that in the forum in the past.
See the support info:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/
If you are reporting a bug, that is one thing. If you are “suggesting” possible future improvements, that is another. If you are asking for guidance on custom programming, you may get limited semi-canned answers, as it’s not covered under your included support for major things — but TD *does* provide a *LOT* of support on simple hacks for things if you read the thousands of posts. However *some* hacks are too involved to provide a simple “edit A, edit B, move C…” you’re done.
So, just get some reasonable expectation level going here, and you’ll be fine.
From one monkey to another, your back is more likely to get scratched if you stop flingin’ poo!

Oh jee.! any safe places around?
No one insulted no one, Don’t twist words. bad behavior.
You went on and over for nada.
Don’t threat with help, as you alone don’t own it .
You even did not understand the proverb about Peanuts and Monkeys. so lets leave it there.
i am tagdiv customer for more than 5 years and i have bought many of there theme and even share solutions for problems.(multiple users)
No thing against Tagdiv. i am a loyal client. they can hold criticism ,
i can point out multiple things that presented here in the forum over and over, people ask and given template answer. Companies listen to their clients. There is some thing called clients preservation.
As a client , template answers are not a good sign.
Read the other clients question all over the site and felt their frustration. as i know they are also trying hard to succeed with as much they have. Not all professionals as you mentioned above.
Some people are humble … you know!!!
Whether you like or not, this is not an insult, this is criticism. don’t like its OK . free country… Tagdiv might insist in their answers and i have the right to ask for better answers as i see it.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
This guy, biznizat, is just totally RIGHT.
This is a huge problem of Newspaper`and it has been the same for 3 years..
PLEASE DO SOMETHIG. WE ARE GETTING THOUSANDS OF SPAMS and we cannot add recaptcha our way in this AJAX registration form.
+ not choosing password at registration is a total non sense. That makes people go out of the website and never come back if they dont get the email
Thank you guys for supporting this topic!
- To all customers of Newspaper out there:
If you also think, that the user registration is not ideal than please leave a comment, so maybe we will get some new features soon.
Sorry …. I was being flippant there. Obviously everybody “requesting” a new feature is a good thing. My upset is people complaining there isn’t a feature, and not liking the answer when told “we’ll consider it for the future…” — company isn’t obligated to add new features to the product. That’s like complaining your car doesn’t have back up camera when you bought it, but then asking why they won’t show them how to install one.
So apologies for offering my thoughts on the topic.
Peace out everybody!
( obviously if you’ve been using the theme since day one as I have, then it seems like you’d be able to hire somebody to add the missing feature you want so bad … but … to each their own … )
* I don’t work here; just professional lurker ! *
Now Im not only getting annoying spammy user registration, since two weeks Im getting tons of Trackback spam daily. 🙁
Please tagDiv support team, do something about the overall security of our beloved websites.
Hello Carel,
You can search the forum for more insight provided by our users and try the solutions that work for them. Like this topic for example – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/recaptcha-on-user-registration-pop-up/
Please note that no such plugins were tested with the theme at this moment, and there could appear compatibility issues.
Thank you for understanding!
YES. I completely agree with Biznizat- this is absolutely the worst part about the theme and makes everything significantly difficult. Support’s response to this is not what it should be.
