Ajax Search as stand-alone.

Hi TagDiv,
I want to use the very-very nice Ajax Search Engine, that we have in Newspaper Theme, as a stand-alone component.
E.g.
– I want to create a blank page, and in the top of that page i want to use the Ajax Search Engine, with live result.
– I want to put the Ajax Search Engine Component, to the top of my first page.
Search Here…. with live results.

Is this possible?

Hello,

You can create your own page template in the root of the theme and copy the code from page.php(default template) and just add this comment instead – http://screencast.com/t/UdDaIQhr It should appear on template options – http://screencast.com/t/cONiVSlbjH7 Then add your custom modification to the code. You can copy the ajax search code here and use the page template where you want to use the ajax search pages. You can find the ajax search code here: http://screencast.com/t/BRyjYxHu
It will require some adjustments in order to work properly, but this should help guide you in the right direction
